New Zealand author, Joanna Orwin

The New Zealand author Joanna Orwin came and talked to a group of year 10,11,12 students about her new book ‘Sacrifice’ and the process of writing fiction. ‘Sacrifice’ is a finalist in the 2012  New Zealand Post Book Awards. She talked about writing and was impressed by how many of our students were engaged in writing pieces of work in addition to their school assignments. A couple of students talked about their fan-fiction work which has been posted on the internet which was interesting.
